In 2021, activities include final preparation and testing of integrated hybrid recommender system prior to intervention study, design, implement and evaluate recommender interface for user trust and acceptability, support and troubleshooting during the study, incorporate study results in to revised and final version of the recommender for commercial roll-out.
The recommender system provides personalised food suggestions from the workplace restaurant with the focus on adaptivity and transparency towards users to increase engagement rate. Personalised food suggestions are based on dietary preferences and goals, health status, and persuasion profiles (hint, suggest, instruct). For these three profiles, we are considering levels of information and how suggestions are presented. For example, a complete and detailed manual food declaration to exclusively and automatically logged at-work purchases or, for health, diagnostic tools and anthropomorphic data to only simple biometrics. Personal state-of-the-art adaptive consumer-transparent techniques, as well as gamification and nudging aim to increase engagement.
