5th Meeting of the World Congress for Freedom of Scientific Research
11 – 13 April 2018, European Parliament, Brussels
The interaction between scientific evidences and the decision-making process will be the central issue of the next meeting of the World Congress scheduled to take place from 11 to 13 April 2018 at the European Parliament in Brussels. The title will be “Science for Democracy”.
A specific session, held in April 12, will address the debate on modern agricultural biotechnology.The session is supported by EuropaBio and moderated by John Brennan, EuropaBio secretary-general.
Participants will include Nobel Laureates, representatives from national executive and legislative bodies, relevant European and UN entities, academics and research institutes, media, civil society and non-governmental organizations including those that work on patients rights.
21st Workshop on Vitamin D
16th – 19th May 2018, Barcelona, Spain
The Vitamin D Workshops bring together basic researchers, clinicians and nutrition experts from around the globe. The Workshops are organized by a dedicated group of internationally recognized scientists who are experts on Vitamin D. The Workshop Executive Committee (WEC) is responsible for planning and implementing the annual meetings. The Program Advisory Committee (PAC) assists the WEC in choosing session topics, speakers and awardees for each workshop. Members of both the WEC and the PAC contribute to editing and reviewing manuscripts for the Proceedings of each Workshop.
