Swedish Food Composition Database: New Data and Gaps Filled (2008-2023)
In the work with the Swedish Food Composition Database The Swedish Food Agency (SFA) continuously retrieves volume weights, yield factors and waste for foods.
However, there have been relatively large gaps when it comes to new foods in particular, why a project was carried out in 2023-24 to compile previous data and to produce data for foods with a lack of data or a need for new data.
As a result, a report compiling experiments performed in different projects during 2008 to 2023 is published at SFA website. The full version of the publication was produced in Swedish. The title, summary and tables (in appendix) have been translated to English making it useable for a large part of the food composition data community.
